WORLD EDITING TOOLKIT

Your world.
Your workshop.

Inspect a Bedrock world, explore its files, and open a Minecraft-style inventory workspace. Changes remain in your browser until you export a copy. Fan-made and not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.

▦

Drop your world here

Choose a .mcworld or .zip file from your device.

Runs locally in your browser. Import, inspect, replace files, then repack.

EDITOR WORKSPACE

World editor status: Bedrock Lab can read level.dat metadata, inspect archive entries, replace individual files, and repack a downloadable .mcworld. World settings can be edited in supported level.dat files and saved into a new archive. LevelDB item records are not modified by this version.
⌘

Ready when your world is

Import a world to inspect its archive. Select any file to view metadata or bytes, replace a file, and download a repacked copy. Level metadata is decoded when supported.

World settings editor

Edit supported fields from the world’s level.dat. Unknown tags are preserved when the file is re-encoded. Changes stay in the in-memory copy until you repack the world.

Import a world containing a root-level level.dat to begin.

World toggles

Safety: this editor changes only recognized fields that already exist in level.dat. It does not edit player inventory, item stacks, or LevelDB records. Keep your original world as a backup.

Players

Choose a player to open their inventory workspace. Real player discovery and LevelDB inventory loading are not connected in this prototype yet, so the preview below is clearly marked as sample data.

World connection: Import a world first. Player records are not read by this build.

SAMPLE PREVIEW

Player inventory

Minecraft-style inventory workspace. Select a slot to inspect that sample item's properties and NBT-style tags. This build is an interactive UI prototype: it does not yet read or write a player's inventory from LevelDB.

Preview mode: these are sample slots using Minecraft item textures. Your imported world's player records are not connected yet, and edits here are exported as a draft only.

Armor enchantment & NBT playground

Beginner mode: choose an armor piece, select an enchantment by its readable name, and see a clearly labelled planning draft. This is not native Bedrock NBT and it does not change your world.

How the mapping works: the draft keeps the readable ID and level together, for example protection + 4 becomes {"id":"protection","level":4}. That is a friendly planning representation, not a claim about a real Bedrock numeric NBT ID. The actual stored format depends on edition, version, and record type.

Extra NBT-style tag

Add one custom tag to learn how names and values are represented. This does not validate a real Bedrock record.

Live draft preview

This is a learning format, not a ready-to-import Bedrock database record.

Choose an armor piece to begin.

LevelDB diagnostics

This checks the database files bundled inside your world archive without changing or exposing individual inventory records. It is a structural preflight, not a LevelDB reader or writer.

Import a world to inspect its database file layout.

Important: Bedrock worlds use a LevelDB database with version-sensitive record formats. This build does not write database records. The report contains archive paths, file sizes, and structural checks only.

File inspector / text editor

Inspect text files, decoded level.dat metadata, or binary summaries. Save applies text changes to the in-memory archive. For binary files such as level.dat and database records, use Replace file with a compatible edited file instead of editing displayed hex.

Choose a file from the archive list.
